Street Artist: Roadsworth
In response to the attacks of 9/11 the Montreal artist Roadsworth began his street art campaign in 2001. In 2004 he was arrested and faced tens of thousands of dollars in fines for defacing Montreal’s public roadways. Remarkably there was an outcry of public support of his work and eventually just got a slap on his wrist.

Singapore’s Surprises
Saturday’s qualifying results were business as usual except for an unfortunate engine failure of Alonso’s Renault engine in Q2 placing him all the way back on row 8 in 15th. Row 1 on the starting grid were two familiar occupants and leading championship contenders, Massa on pole and Hamilton in second.
Singapore: Friday’s Practice
In the first session at the inaugural night race for Formula 1, Hamilton got fastest lap. This just a day after arriving in Singapore from the FIA International Court of Appeals in Paris. In the second session Renault’s Fernando Alonso surprisingly hit fastest lap with Hamilton .098 seconds away in second. But most importantly THIS LOOKS AMAZING! Can’t wait for qualifying and the race!

My Project This Term: Cold Chain Containers
This term I’m working on a container for “cold chain” immunizations specifically for non-profit health organizations (NPHO) like Doctors Without Boarders (MSF) and UNICEF.
Zelos Desk: Space Efficent + Beauty
Christoph Böninger’s Zelos desk designed for ClassiCon folds out and doubles the working space quickly. I love how the white box opens to black surfaces that add a second material texture and contrasting finish. This is perfect for apartments settings where space is limited and choosing furniture is especially important. I couldn’t find the price but I’m sure it’s through the roof. Give it a 6 months, you’ll find this knocked off at IKEA at a fifth the price.

Hamilton Loses Appeal with FIA
McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton’s run and win at Spa was one for the history books. He trailed world champion Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen for most of the race after is pole qualification was lost early in lap 2 in a spin. Toward the end lap 42 (of 44) Hamilton tried to pass Kimi entering the chicane but was blocked out and had to run the chicane to avoid an accident. FIA rules clearly state that no position can be gained if a driver runs through a chicane. So once Hamilton had taken the lead he fell back to let Kimi pass. But as soon as he could got right back on Kimi’s tail. Here’s what happened (sorry it’s not in English):
Vis Com 6 Renderings
Last term I did several renderings of existing classic cars/vehicles, applying some artistic twist to enhance a photo real rendering into more of an art piece.
Pointer 2008 Fall/Winter Collection
“I’ve always wanted to make shoe shoes. Shoes that are neither high street nor high fashion footwear, but the proper shoes that I’ve always been looking for. Now is the right time for Pointer to step up to fill the void: it’s a natural progression of the line.” -founder Gareth Skewis
Couldn’t agree more. Progressive fashion doesn’t have to be overly flashy. Get me a pair of the black ones!

High Design + Cost Effectiveness + Recyclable Materials = A Truly Sustainable Product
This gorgeous table called 3fold was designed by London-based design firm FormTank. It uses a single standardized sheet of steel and after being cut is formed by hand. Too bad it’s 3,851 Euros.
